Change is Hard - So Are Tootsie Pops

Change is happening all around us all the time, yet so many of us miss the opportunity it gives. Let me explain.

When I was a kid I loved eating TootsiePops. I would lick and lick until the shell disappeared and I was left with that gooey flavorful center. If you would have asked me back then why I liked Tootsie Pops, I would have said for that gooey center inside. As I look back on it though, I think what I enjoyed most wasn’t the center itself, but the journey of getting to it.  

This idea can be reflected in our own lives. Change lies waiting for us to see it not as an inconvenience, but a catalyst to enjoy the beauty and joy in our own journeys. 

I still don’t know how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie pop, but I will enjoy every minute of it.
