America The Beautiful

Land of the Free, home of the brave. America is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. Our lush forests, majestic mountains, and golden deserts manifest that beauty, but this land holds something even more magnificent- freedom. Growing up in The United States, it is easy to take freedom for granted, and I have for many years. That is until the craziness of this past year. 

Sometimes for something to be appreciated, it has to be tested. Although I will never experience what the founding fathers went through to form this country, [many ended up penniless and even lost their lives]. I have experienced the reward of their sacrifice- freedom. This past year has opened my eyes to how important, valuable, and precious our right to this freedom is. I thank not just the founding fathers but all the men and women who paid the ultimate price for America to be free. This Independence Day, I stand with these souls, with a hand on my heart and freedom on my lips. Their sacrifice will not be in vain, for the American Spirit is alive and soaring. The best truly is yet to come!
